Gerlos lies at an altitude of 1,300 m. Embedded between the Hohe Tauern National park and the Ziller Valley national park Gerlos is both a jewel of nature and a sports park.  Alpenhof is situated right in the middle as a point of departure for pleasure seekers and sports enthusiasts.

Highropes Course
Experience pure thrills at the 20 stations with the help of a mountain guide! The Highropes Course is a series of elements mounted on a group of tree trunks at heights of 10 to 15 meters. This ropes course is like an obstacle garden made up of ropes, tightropes and tree trunks that is completed in the same way as a race course. The high emotional tension is created by the height of the elements above the ground.

Our newly designed walking and Nordic walking region has adventure trails and demanding alpine paths for athletes as well as routes that are ideally suited to beginners.

The routes in the Gerlos walking and Nordic walking region fulfil the "Laufland Tirol" requirements detailed by the Tyrolean regional government and Tyrolean Advertising Agency. This guarantees high-quality routes, selected, tested, marked and classified by experts.

From approximately end of May/beginning of June, fishing fans can buy a daily fishing ticket for the Durlaßbodenstausee and the Gmünder Stausee from Hotel Platzer starting at 7 am and from the Seestüberl starting at 10.30 am.

The spring-fresh water (warms to a comfortable 21°C from June to August) in Durlassboden Reservoir makes Gerlos a true summer highlight!
You can learn to sail or surf at the Gerlos Surfing and Sailing School, or just relax by splashing around, swimming or pedaling a boat.
You can also relax on the lawn next to the lake with its large children's playground and barbeque facilities.

Alpine Lake Sailing & Surfing in Gerlos. Austria's highest sailing and surfing school (1,400 m elevation). The dock is located right at the crest of the dam, near the "Seestüberl" restaurant.

ROCK CLIMBING - CLIMBING PRACTICE - FLYING FOX

At the newly built Climbinggarden Riederklamm you can learn to climb with different difficulty levels to different routes.

On the entry to 1320 m altitude, a platform is built, from where you can commit the climbing route. The two climbing routes "Riederklamm" (grade B+) and "Riederklamm" upper part (grade B/C) have a total length of 280 meters and are connectet through a short walk of 100 meters. The two climbing routes "Weiße Wand" (grade B) and "Wasserfall" (grade C/D) have a length of 60 meters and the 4 climbing routes "Gratzer", "Kupfna", "Niggla" and "Stockacha" at the climbing practice have a length of 20-25 meters.

For adrenaline junkies there are also two flying fox routes on 80 meters altitude, with a length of 200 meters, the use is only possible with a guide.
